On Tour: Dirty South / City of Dreams
If you appreciate the consistent yet transgressive sounds of modern progressive house, then you are likely to have heard Dirty South’s name mentioned at least a few times. The Grammy-Nominated DJ/Producer from Serbia but based in Australia has wowed the world since 2004 with his singles, remixes, and now his largest-ever North American tour, City of Dreams. Each year he seems to have a hit that takes us by storm, with Phazing in 2010 being one of the most memorable, and this year’s most recent remix – Embrace Me – reminding us of his ability to transform an ordinary song into an epic experience. And we can’t forget the tune that named the tour, City of Dreams, produced with Alesso and featuring Ruben Haze in a heartwarming melody that takes you back to the “Phazing” days with its uplifting chorus and inevitably universal appeal.
Dirty South will be concluding his tour with what’s bound to be an unforgettable night this year at Los Angeles venue Palladium, the day after Black Friday. It will be an 18+ event. Check out some of his best:
